Basics and Beyond. New to yoga? Returning practitioner or just want to focus on the foundations? This is the class for you! We'll dissect the asana (postures) and build from the ground up, focusing on alignment, breath awareness and relaxation. This class is taught in the Iyengar tradition and is a great introduction to all of our classes, especially the Iyengar Style class. All levels are welcome.

Relax and Restore (R&R). A gentle practice designed to stimulate the immune system, restore balance and relieve stress. Props will be used extensively. This class is ideal for those with limited flexibility or strength. All levels are welcome.
Beginners' Series. This 4 class series is designed to provide an overview of yoga as a practice and focus on specific asana (postures) each week. At the end of the series, students will be able to ransition into any of the regular class offerings. Advance registration is required. Cost for entire series is $30. No drop-ins.
Meditation 101 . This 45 min free community discussion/practice is offered at Indigo Magpie (1538 Sheridan Ave, downtown). Wear comfortable clothing and bring a cushion if you have one. Blankets, some cushions and chairs will be provided.

Multi. A class that emphasizes and builds on the foundations of asana and pranayama (breathing) to develop strength, flexibility and balance--the building blocks of a sound practice. Linking of breath and movement (vinyasa) is introduced.
Recovery. Recovery class is a great way to unwind stiff & sore bodies after a weekend of activity. This class is appropriate for all levels of experience & muscle aches.

Power/Vinyasa . A vigorous practice based on Beryl Binder Birch's system of Power Yoga. Vinyasa classes cultivate awareness while building core strength, flexibility and stamina . Emphasis is on safe & healthy alignment. Beginners welcome but physical fitness is recommended. "Warm" classes are those where the room is heated (80 - 85 degrees F) to promote flushing of toxins through sweating and to gently augment the body's natural flexibility.

Iyengar Style. A deep, introspective practice based on the teachings of BKS Iyengar. The practice focuses on precision and alignment, detailed instructions, specific sequencing and use of props to promote self-awareness, strength, flexibility and balance.

Energize! This early morning class will kickstart your day! It follows a Multi class style with emphasis on energizing body and mind.

Happy Hour*. Want to wind down after a long work week or just plain have fun? Join us for a 1 hour, half price ($4) class on Friday evenings, style is the instructor's choice.

Setting the Foundation**. This 2 hour free class/Q&A/discussion is offered the first Saturday of every month. Wear comfortable clothes and bring any question you might have. We'll cover everything you've ever wanted to know about yoga, but haven't had the chance to ask about yet!

Family Fun Yoga Class. Just for the holidays! Kids must be accompanied by a parent (or two!). All ages welcome. Geared toward fun poses that promote bonding and guaranteed to be a heartwarming experience. The proceeds from this class will be donated to the Loving Hearts Animal Sanctuary.

Yoga Treks. What better way to spend a warm sunny day than in the great outdoors? Yoga treks combine hiking and yoga in Mother Nature’s studio, customized for your group of two or more. We provide mats and waterbottles (you get to take home the bottle). Transportation is included. Selections include hike distance/intensity, yoga practice duration, and post-trek beverages/food. Our varied terrain hikes will lead to a scenic location for a memorable outdoor practice. The return hike promises serenity and peace. Treks are available in 2 or 3 hour durations. Please allow 1 additional hour to for transportation and logistics. All fitness levels are welcome. Call 899-3147 to schedule your trek today!
